Student cardUpon enrolment you will receive your Student card.
The student card proves your identity as a student of the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano and also works as a user card in the University Library. The card cannot be ceded to others.
You can use the card on the University premises as a means of payment: at the vending machines selling snacks and drinks, in the University canteen and bar, for photocopying and in the library.
Within the areas of culture, sport, music and leisure you can enjoy many student specials.
If your card does not work, you should contact the Student secretariat.

The only possiblity to pay in the canteen is with the student card?
Yes! Due to the fact that the canteen gets subsidized, only authorized people have the permission to eat in the university canteen, i.e. everyone with a designated chip-card.  

How can I extend the validity (expiry date) of my student card?
You can extend the validity of your card at the automatic machines which are located in the University Library and in the Student Secretariat. You are allowed to use these machines only if you have paid the tuition fees.

How much money can I load up on the chip-card?
Currently it's possible to load up max. 200 Euro on a single chip-card.
