Who can enrol?

• Students at the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano (conditions)
• Anyone else of any age regardless of whether they hold a secondary school qualification or not.

How to enrol
You should enrol online between 27 August and 14 September 2012. For the enrolment please refer to the german or italian website. If you do not have internet access, you can use the computers that have been specially provided by the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano (in Bozen/Bolzano and Brixen/Bressanone).

Whether you enrol online from home or at the University, you must also print the enrolment form, sign it and bring it to the Student Secretariat (in Bozen/Bolzano or Brixen/Bressanone) no later than 14 September, 2012, 12.00 midday. (To fill in also if just enrolled as student of the FUB.)

You must attach the following to your enrolment form:

• the tuition fees payment receipt, 
• a passport-sized photo for your student card (which gives you access to a range of student services), 
• a copy of a valid identity card
• a List of preferences for chosen subjects (available in german or italian)

University credit points (ECTS): an brief overview
The Studium Generale course will provide you with 30 university credit points following the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), a measurement system used by the European university system. Each subject you take is worth 5 credit points. These credit points are awarded once you have passed the final exam for each subject. Exams can only be taken if you have a secondary school leaving qualification (this is a pre-requisite). These credits can then be used in other universities or for other courses if they are recognised and deemed part of that course’s study plan (this decision is taken by the faculty in question).
