Help menu in the catalogue).

Periodicals and DVDs: these cannot be renewed.
Returning borrowed books
Material borrowed from the Library can be returned to any of the three main University libraries as well as to the Central Library System in Silandro. In Bolzano and Bressanone you can return books using the self-check system or directly to one of our librarians at the Loan Desk.
You could also leave it in the Book Box that is located outside the building. If you do use the Book Drop, the book will only be cancelled from your account the next day the Library is open.
Damaged or lost books have to be replaced by the user. If books are brought back late, a fine will be imposed (see the
regulations on charges).
Your account
Library users can check the status of their account at any time by clicking on
ACCOUNT in the online catalogue. You can see how many books you have borrowed and their due dates and you can renew and reserve books. ).
Instructions can be found in the
Help menu of the catalogue.
Reserving a book
You can reserve a book using the online catalogue (instructions can be found in the
Help Menu) of the catalogue). When you reserve a book, you can also state where you would like to pick it up from: Bolzano, Bressanone, the Brunico Town Library or the Central Library System in Silandro.
The Library can send you a text message, phone you or send you an email once the book has arrived at the library you have selected. Reservations can then be taken out during the
normal opening times; unfortunately they cannot be borrowed when only the self-check system is in operation.
Reservations last seven days and then they are cancelled. The exceptions are reservations of books from the Textbook Collection, marked by 15 or 35, in Bolzano and Brunico: if the reservation is made before 2.00 p.m., the book has to be borrowed by 7.00 p.m. of the same day. If the reservation is made after 2.00 p.m. the book can be collected up to 7.00 p.m. of the following working day.
