Library ServicesStudents, teaching and administrative staff of the Free University Bozen/Bolzano can access the services of the University Library with their Student or Campus Card. People who are not affiliated with the Free University Bozen/Bolzano may use the University Library as external users. In order to receive a Library Card one has to present an identity card and pay in Bozen/Bolzano or in Brixen/Bressanone the annual fee of 10,00 euro.

The library offers a constantly growing collection of print and electronic material. The chosen material is based on the needs of the University’s faculties. The entire book collection can be accessed on the open shelves and a comprehensive online catalogue also assists in searching for a title. The catalogue states where the book or document can be found (Bozen/Bolzano, Brixen/Bressanone or Bruneck/Brunico) as well as listing its exact position on the shelf, which is indicated on the book itself with a label on the spine.

Additionally, the library offers a local lending service as well as an interlibrary loan service, user training and a reference service.The libraries in Bozen/Bolzano and Brixen/Bressanone are equipped with reading areas, group and single study rooms, computers, photocopy machines, printers, CD-burners and scanners.
