InternshipsEducational internships aim to provide participants with some of the professional skills needed for the world of work and to make future decisions about careers easier. The work placement can be compulsory (because it is part of the course studied) or optional. The requirements for undertaking an internship, as well as its length and the number of credit points it is worth, are determined by the regulations governing internships for each degree course. In order to find a suitable place to undertake an internship, you can look at the Careers Advisory Service’s electronic gazette or make use of the contacts established with companies, professional organisations, public institutions, foundations and other establishments.

If you want to do an internship, you have to:

  • choose the company/institution where you want to do the internship
  • find a tutor within the company and agree on a project for the internship
  • contact your University Tutor to get an agreement on your internship
  • give in all the documentation to the Careers Advisory Service by the deadline.
